The Holy Ghost

        Have you received the Holy Ghost since ye believed ? Acts 19:1-6  ¶  ¶  And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
2  He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
3  And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism.
4  Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
5  When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
6  And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
  Jesus told Nicodemus [you must be born again] born of the water[baptized in the name of Jesus] and of the Spirit[filled with the Holy Ghost]John 3. The plan of Salvation was not John 3:16[a statement about God's love] but Act's 2:38 a call to action. Act's2:40--Save yourselves from this untoward generation.Luke24:47And that repentance and remission of sins[act's2:38]should be preached in his name among all nations. beginning at Jerusalem.  

              How do I know that I have received the gift of the Holy Ghost? Mark 16:16-17   He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe;In my Name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues.There was a visible sign take place when some one received the Holy Ghost.Act's 19:6 Act's 10:43-48. Being filled with the Holy Ghost or being born again is the single most important thing that will ever happen in a Christians life.If a baby comes into this world and does not make a sound, it is still born and does not live.The same is true of spiritual birth ,When Jesus fills you with His spirit you will speak in other tongues.Paul said I thank God I speak with tongue more than you all.1Cor14:18.  When I first heard the Apostles doctrine I was skeptical, it was not what I was taught as a youg child. But when I used scripture to prove scripture I found this to be the true way.Show me someone who is fighting the doctrine of speaking in other tongues as the spirit gives utterance and you will find that person has never spoken in tongues.

 I know some of you will not receive what I have said and some will think I'm a false Prophet or a devil.I urge you to study the Word of God, not mans teaching read John 5:39 Search the scriptures;for in them ye think you have eternal life:and they are they that testify of me.I don't have an ax to grind, I'm not bound by any man made organization only the Word of God . If you don't understand what I've said today, don't throw it away but rather lay it on a shelf so when God gives you the revelation you will be prepared.

John 20:22

 is a work of faith.I don't know where I'm going with it, only that it will be led by the Holy Ghost.                     When Jesus breathed on the Disciples we don't see any change take place in them right then.  Jesus told the Disciples to go  and tarry at Jerusalem until they were endued with power from on high . Then in the book of Acts on the day of Pentecost the breath of God blew in an upper room and the Church was born, Acts chapter 2.  Then Peter gave the very first Apostolic sermon Acts14-39. He preached repentance,baptism,and
the infilling of the Holy Ghost. This is the plan of Salvation for the New Testament Church and should not be altered by man.I feel the Holy Bible is a code book that teaches us God's minimum requirements.Nothing was put in there that was unnecessary and there are no multiple right choices.                                                                The reason for this blog is not to cause contention ,but to enlighten believers to God's wonderful Truth.
